The Marble Outpost Lodge, located on the western edge of the town of Marble, features two 2-bedroom apartments with spacious balconies, lovely views, and stately 80-foot ponderosa pines.

Situated just 200 yards from the Crystal River and facing the cliffs and pines of Mill Mountain, the Marble Outpost is perfect for families, couples, and small groups. Completely renovated in 2001, the lodge is peaceful, quiet, and private.

The apartments are each approximately 750 square feet, featuring a master bedroom with a comfortable log queen bed, a smaller bedroom with a log bunkbed, and a pull-out futon in the living area that can sleep two. The apartments sleep four very comfortably.

Each apartment has a full kitchen with all utensils for cooking. One apartment has a full bath with shower, the other a shower. The units connect through a privacy door for larger groups. The back deck is spacious, with plenty of room for grilling or relaxing. The lodge is equipped with satellite TV and a VCR, and has a canoe and mountain bikes available for guests to use.

The Marble Outpost features airy open-beam ceilings, original photographs by professional photographer Gary Hubbell, beautiful Western-themed dishes, and gorgeous hand-made quilts.

The lodge is a 2-minute walk to the Marble/marble sculptor’s symposium and the Marble Millsite Park. Hiking trails, biking trails, flyfishing access, Beaver Lake, horseback riding, the Marble airstrip, and the Ute Meadows Nordic Center are all within minutes of the Marble Outpost.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the Marble Outpost, and there is a secure kennel available for those times when owners must leave their dogs behind for a few hours.

Gary and Doris Hubbell, owners of the Marble Outpost, also run OutWest Guides, outfitters for horseback rides, hunting, fishing, and hiking trips. Package deals are available for guided excursions with lodging.

The apartments at the Marble Outpost Lodge rent for $119 per night during the summer and $99 per night during the winter. Guests who book for 6 nights receive a 10% discount.
